BYD accelerates expansion of its network in France

Since its arrival on the French market in 2024, BYD has developed its network around approximately fifteen distributors, most of whom have a significant regional presence. For example, let’s talk about the groups Autosfer, BYmyCAR, Bodemer, Kroely, Maurin, Péricaud, Car Lovers, Chopard; The list is not comprehensive.

However, the appointment of Dorothée Bonassies as head of BYD France last autumn resulted in the infusion of a new strategy for the deployment of the network. The brand is actually targeting over 250 outlets within the next eighteen months, which requires bringing new players into the equation; especially since the profitability promised by the manufacturer is still not there for now. A context that, to our knowledge, “historical” encourages players to slow down their deployments.

At the end of last year the GGP group joined the BYD network in Dunkirk, Valenciennes (59) and Liévin (62) as well as the Bernadani group in Corsica, Ajaccio and Bastia. In February, CAR group integrated the Chinese brand into its dealership portfolio in La Rochelle and Royan (17).

Clim, Riester, Valauto and AG Automobiles join BYD

Recently, Clim, Riester and Valauto groups also joined the investors. The first was established in Bayonne (64), the second in Compiègne (60), and Valauto in Lomme in the metropolis of Lille (59). Finally, AG Automobiles took the sign in Charleville-Mézières (08). A total of 25 investors distribute the brand and this number is expected to increase.

At the same time, BYD uses the Denza network to align with its premium brand. The first official signings were Saint-Germain-en-Laye (78), operated by the Car Lovers group, and Cannes (06), operated by the Chopard group. Four new locations are expected to see the light of day by summer: in Marseille (13) with Maurin, in Lyon (69) with Chopard, in Paris with Harmony and in Lille (59) with Autosfer. By the end of the year, Denza aims to have a presence in France’s ten largest cities. The next news will be Strasbourg (67) with the Kroely group.
