It’s no longer just about examining, it’s also about engaging. On June 1, 2026, Aviloo formalized the launch of its state of health (SOH) guarantee for electric car batteries. The Austrian company, which specializes in carrying out the tests, then innovates by providing financial compensation.
In fact, the Aviloo Connect solution will not only predict the quality level of an electric car’s battery, but will also calculate its theoretical degradation trajectory. The warranty will cover this curve. If, in the next calendar year, a new inspection using Aviloo Flash reveals that the SoH value of the battery has fallen below the initially calculated threshold, the buyer will receive compensation. In addition to reimbursement for the test, he will also receive 3,000 euros.
“With the Aviloo battery warranty, the French second-hand electric vehicle market reaches a new milestone,” said Aviloo CEO Marcus Berger. “For the first time, we are laying the foundations for a warranty based solely on independent and objective measurement data. We are building trust, providing French dealers and buyers with certainty that has never existed before.”
France as initiator
The warranty will be offered to the vehicle owner, whether individual or professional. This also includes a dealer who will integrate a used car for which it holds the registration card into any mobility program. For the record, Aviloo claims technological compatibility with 96% of electric and PHEV cars in its European fleet.
“France is one of the first two markets where we chose to introduce the guarantee because there is real demand there and the market is ready,” said Aviloo CEO. The guarantee will be implemented in France and Sweden from the beginning of June, and then gradually throughout Europe in the coming weeks.
It’s a service made possible thanks to Aviloo’s fundraising last February. The Austrian company provided financial support of 30 million euros. The amount received from the redemption of shares in the European Innovation Council Fund (EIC) by investors.
According to the information we received, Aviloo will go even further in warranty service. Negotiations have begun with a major Swiss insurance company to develop a range of services that will take customers into a more premium world. A development whose exact date is not yet known.
