Alpine A290 available to order with £3750 Electric Car Grant saving from today

The entire Alpine A290 range is now available to order with the full £3,750 Government electric car Grant (ECG) saving.
Designated as ‘+’ models, the updated GT+, GT Performance+ and GTS+ versions will also get one-pedal driving functionality, plus the option of a two-tone colour scheme as standard, with prices starting at £30,245 (including the ECG).
The £3,750 ECG grant saving is possible because of renault Group’s long-term commitment to hitting Science Based Target Initiative (SBTI) standards and because of its batteries now being sourced from the newly-opened Douai gigafactory, which meets the UK Government’s most stringent environmental criteria.
“Earning the full £3,750 grant eligibility is fantastic news, and I’ve no doubt will accelerate the already amazing interest we have in the award-winning Alpine A290,” said Nicola Burnside, head of Alpine Cars UK. “It’s an exhilarating hot hatch for the electric era, as good to drive as it is to look at, and I have absolute confidence that anyone who gets behind the wheel will be immediately convinced that electric cars can be exciting.
“We’ve moved quickly to ensure that customers can take advantage of the saving and place orders for the updated ‘+’ range from the moment the £3,750 electric car Grant has been confirmed by the Government, with deliveries set to begin early next year.”
Additionally, two Atelier Alpine customisation packages will be available on ‘+’ models as part of a Signature Colourline Pack range, aptly named Bleu and Rouge. The former features blue Alpine Brembo brake calipers, an anodised blue matt roof rail, full black snowflake wheels with a blue line and a blue stitched Alpine logo in the carpet floor mats, while the latter has the same features in red.
Two UK-specific packs will also be introduced as an option, called Tricolore Design and Signature Tricolore. The Tricolore design pack features a blue steering wheel centre with the Alpine logo and a French flag on the exterior, while Signature Tricolore has additional driving and safety packs included. Highlights of the packs include features such as intelligent cruise control, hands-free parking, blind spot monitoring and reverse parking monitoring.
Alpine A290 is the reigning car of the Year, as voted for by 60 expert jurors from 23 countries across Europe, and was crowned Autocar’s Best Fun EV earlier this year.
