Alberto Scuro ran on a platform of increasing the globalization of FIVA and greater interaction with the members. He has a long history of activities in the historical vehicle sector. A former vascular surgeon, Scuro was elected to the Board of Directors of ASI in 2011 and was subsequently elected President in 2019 pursuant to which he closed his medical practice to work full time running ASI. The FIVA General Assembly which took place on a hybrid (online and physical) basis was especially noted for the hospitality of the hosts, Federacao Brasileira De Veiculos Antigos (FBVA), the FIVA national member in Brazil.
