Report: Özgür Sunay

Yamaha R-Class models have been exciting to thousands of drivers for more than 20 years. The A & S clutch live 689 CC CP2 engine provides high torque acceleration for an exciting real driving experience on the track and road. The extremely narrow and aerodynamic body has an aggressive double -eyed front design with a powerful middle LED headlight. Sharp rear tail and deep-designed warehouse, shaped by pure R-Series genes. With this new generation Supersport, Yamaha has planned to make the R world accessible for drivers looking for adrenaline on the track or city roads. R6 R6 R6, which won the R1M, R1 and World Supersport championship with the R7, which has only 188 kg of weight, with a compact chassis; As flagships continue to be the leader of the category, especially the R7, especially at an accessible price, emerges for drivers who want pure Supersport design with an exciting performance. The R7 has a more seamless gear transition and has a supported (A&S) clutch that provides a more predictable and controlable road holding when approaching the bends by preventing the excessive speed of the engine and the rear wheel contact during sudden braking. The R7’s design provides the highest level of aerodynamic efficiency during sporting driving with the smallest R-Series models and ergonomic saddle and handlebar position. R7; Equipped with upside down front shock absorbers, high technical brakes and radial -related front calipers. The R7 is the closest to R1 with a volume of 700cc after the R25, which offers a full race driving atmosphere.

The engine with a 2 -cylinder volume is instantly accelerating, since it is a high torque machine when you compress the gas in the first departure, especially at low speeds, or when you suddenly load the gas in 3 or 4 gears in 3 or 4 gears.

In fact, when we are going to examine the R7 model and usage way, we see this as realistic; This is a transition engine at a time. Although there is an intermediate transition engine or Yamaha defines it in this way, this R7 engine is a high performance engine that can always be used from a very accurate captain for those who do not like 250cc and not enough. The 2 cylinders in the R7 model naturally do not give you a predatory race sound that will make you the heavens when the engine first works. But as in the R25 you can later wear performance exhaust and you can not install it on the R7. But if you wear it, you can hear it, even though it is 2 cylinders from the R7.

If we first look at the motor’s indicator panel, the digital speed is very simple and only the necessary menu accompanies us. As in a Tracer, we see that a motorcycle focused on driving is created without a lot of elements in the R7 menu. Any mode key or different driving modes are not included in the R7. When we burn the front led headlights, day and night shows well and does a good job. R7’s gasoline warehouse design and sele seat design shape, neither a full race nor exactly in the full -speed sitting position in the name of more high speeds in the name of the gasoline storage in the name of the abdominal storage procedure to be used by lying down and the engine you should not be affected by the intense wind. But in this use, I had to take a break with short intervals, because I can say that all my body’s burden on my arms and shoulders. However, when you get used to the R7, it also promises you the ravo ride that does not upset you in terms of use.

The engine with a horsepower of 696cc and 73.4hp is as if it moves at the power of 300 to 500cc at low low speeds, when you squeeze and load the gas and throw the gears and suddenly allow you to access 150-180-200km speeds in 3-4-5 seconds, while the controlled ABS brake, which is in the back, is very good at high speed and high speed disk. It completes well safely and controlled. The important thing you want to slow down at high speeds is that the motorcycle slows you down as soon as possible without too much shift in the back. In this sense, the shock absorber system, which is quite good at the front of the R7, also stops the motor safely with the pumping tactic of the front brake. When we hang on the front brake, the pre -suspensions are of great importance. However, for the passengers sitting in the back, we see that the rear passenger takes off from the forward. For this reason, at high speeds, especially in the R7, you want to stop the engine in your foot until the end of the rear brake, and I see you to make the front brake very, very controlled. Because this engine driving position and design is not a MT07 – MT09, Yamaha XJ 6 Diversion F or a Tracer.

Yamaha’s “Yamalube GB Racing” on the motorcycle on the R7 is an economical but performance -based special engine. The rear tire, which has a dimensions of 180/55zr17m/C in particular, proves that the engine is a race-cruise engine of 700cc, while reassuring in corners and beds.

Of course, 6 gears of the R7 also allow you to use the engine very economically in 5 and 6 gears. However, during driving, especially if you get a bending in the turn, if you miss the gas a little bit, due to the engine torque, the rear tire can make some slip. In this respect, it is necessary to pay attention to cautious beds. When you think that the engine is not a R25 atmosphere when you use it as a driving in the R25 atmosphere, we see how different the speed and performance of the driving dynamics are actually a different engine. It can go up to 11,000 revolutions. Redline at 12,000 rpm gives you the opportunity to reach performance high speeds in a short time.

Of course, for those who want to have R7, we can say that; With this engine, you can pass a KTM 390RC very easily. You can also use it as a continuous engine. Ideal speeds can try this engine for those who do not like aggressive engines, danger, and those who want to have race -type engine. As a brand, it is a high quality engine that can be taken intact. If you have sizes for your body type, you can evaluate the R7.
