Škoda Auto in the first nine months of 2026: Strong results and second-best-selling brand in Europe
Škoda Auto achieved strong results in the first nine months of 2026. Sales revenue rose 3.5% year on year to €23.1 billion and operating profit increased 7.4% to €1.9 billion while net cash flow stood at €1.8 billion. Return on sales remained solid at 8.3% (2025: 8.0%), underlining Škoda’s position as one of Europe’s most profitable volume brands. The Czech carmaker delivered 812,400 vehicles to customers worldwide, up 6.1% year on year. In its core market, Europe (EU27+4), Škoda recorded 666,798 vehicle registrations, strengthening its position as the second-best-selling brand. Battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles accounted for 29.8% of the brand’s deliveries in the region, up from 24.1% a year earlier. Demand for electric models gained additional momentum, with the all-new Epiq and Peaq attracting more than 82,000 orders by mid-October. Growth continued in India, where deliveries reached 53,200 vehicles (+7.8%) supported by strong demand for the updated Slavia and Kushaq.

Holger Peters, interim CEO of Škoda Auto, says: “Growing profitably in the first nine months of 2026 demonstrates the strength of our customer-focused business model. This is an important foundation for managing the challenges of more difficult conditions in the coming year, including even greater competition and margin pressure as a result of our successful electrification drive. In the first nine months, we increased deliveries by 6.1 per cent and defended our position as the 2nd best-selling car brand in Europe while increasing operating profit by 7.4 per cent and achieving an 8.3 per cent return on sales. This is the result of our broadest and freshest model portfolio, financial discipline, and ongoing efficiency improvements. I want to thank our customers for their trust in our brand as well as our employees, suppliers, dealer partners, and the KOVO trade union. We will need this teamwork to maintain our momentum and to navigate future challenges.”
