Designed and manufactured in Texas, the Venom F5-M is based on the brand’s Venom F5 Evolution update package. While the new aerodynamic structure, active suspension system and increased engine performance come together with the completely redeveloped carbon fiber chassis, the manual transmission and open-roof Roadster body structure make the model among the cars that offer a unique driving experience.
At the heart of the model is Hennessey’s 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged engine. Fury V8 engine is included. This engine, which produces 2,031 horsepower, is paired with a specially developed 6-speed manual transmission. Thanks to advanced traction control and engine management systems, the huge power is transferred to the road in a controlled manner, while the driver can experience the feeling of maximum control in every gear.
Hennessey Founder and CEO John Hennessey stated that the Venom F5-M offers the purest driving experience the brand has ever produced, and that the manual transmission completely integrates the driver with the car, and thanks to the open roof, the sound of the Fury V8 engine reaches directly to the cockpit.
Venom F5-M, unlike the standard F5 models, also attracts attention with its new design details. The most distinctive element of the car is the 1,400-millimeter carbon fiber “dorsal fin” design that starts from the air intake on the roof and extends to the rear. This large aerodynamic surface increases stability at high speeds and gives the car a characteristic appearance. The integrated air intake provides more efficient cold air flow to the engine.
Another striking detail in the first production vehicle was the special customization applications. The car to be delivered to the British customer was prepared with gold details on a purple-coloured bare carbon body, while the American and British flags were hand-embroidered on the rear wing section. In addition, the 24-carat gold front logo and special details bearing the “Sheikh” surname of the car owner are included both in the exterior design and in the cabin.
The interior has been redesigned based on a completely manual driving experience. The aluminum gear lever, produced by CNC machining method, has a 6-speed transmission mechanism with open metal transition, reminiscent of classic racing cars. The short-shift system has been tuned to maximize mechanical feel with every gear change.
Hennessey Design Director Nathan Malinick stated that the manual transmission is not just a new hardware, it has become the fundamental element that changes the entire design process of the car. Malinick stated that many parts, from the center console to the aerodynamic structure, were redeveloped in accordance with this driving character.
