Foxconn’s showcase in the Czech Republic marks an important step in the firm’s effort to move beyond contract manufacturing to integrated mobility Hon Hai Technology Group (Foxconn) held its Czech Technology Day exhibition at its Pardubice facility, unveiling Foxtron Vehicle Technologies’ electric vehicles as well as artificial intelligence infrastructure and humanoid robot demonstrations in the Czech Republic. The event underlines Foxconn’s ambition to operate as an integrated mobility solutions provider combining hardware, software and proprietary platforms. For the first time, two Foxtron models were featured at the exhibition on Czech soil. The compact Model B offers a driving range of up to 516 km, while the seven-seat Model D, aimed at both family and business users, has a range of up to 800 km. Foxconn used this opportunity to directly state its strategy. “Through both the design and production of electric vehicles, Foxconn is fulfilling its long-term strategy to become not only a manufacturer of products and components, but also an integrator of comprehensive next-generation mobility solutions that combine hardware, software and proprietary platforms developed in-house,” Radka Svobodová, Director of Compliance, PR and Communications, said in a statement. The event also showcased an Omniverse-based digital twin platform that connects physical operations with its real-time virtual counterpart, as well as a humanoid robot developed with Nvidia that can perform autonomous decision-making and assembly tasks. Foxconn’s Czech operations include facilities in Pardubice and Kutná Hora and employ around 4,500 people, including the production of artificial intelligence hardware.
