Spy photos show Lexus updating the NX crossover with new headlights, grille, and taillights. Expected to boost electric range for the plug-in hybrid model.
Lexus is preparing an update for its NX crossover, which debuted in its current generation back in 2021. The model has reached the midpoint of its lifecycle, prompting the manufacturer to begin a planned refresh.Spy photos suggest the most noticeable changes will be to the exterior. Up front, the NX will get new headlights with different graphics and dual-line daytime running lights. The signature shape of these lighting elements might also see some tweaks. The grille has been redesigned as well, though its overall size will remain unchanged. At the rear, expect updated bumpers and some refinements to the taillight design. These changes are evolutionary in nature, aimed at keeping the model recognizable while giving it a fresh look.Technical specifications haven’t been revealed yet. In Europe, the Lexus NX is offered with a plug-in hybrid powertrain among other options. It’s possible the update could bring an increased electric-only range—currently rated at up to 74 km under the WLTP cycle.
