Updated Land Rover Defender: new design, tech, and off-road features

The updated Defender retains its signature boxy silhouette, but now features redesigned bumpers with a silver Silicon Silver or matte grey Carpathian Grey Satin finish. The hood inserts and side vents showcase a fresh textured pattern, while the wheels boast new center caps bearing the Defender logo. Standard equipment also includes a glossy black grille with a dark oval badge.More noticeable updates come to the Land Rover Defender’s headlights, which now sport a revised light signature with two flanking strips beside the central circle. The rear lights have also been darkened on the refreshed model, available in new hues like Woolstone Green and Borasco, a shade of grey.Inside, the Defender’s center console sees its 11.4-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system replaced by a larger 13.1-inch unit that fully spans the space between the console and the dashboard top. A new sliding storage compartment has been added to the console for stowing small items.As part of the update, the Defender gains an off-road adaptive cruise control feature that automatically adjusts speed to maintain a desired comfort level over rough terrain.Jaguar Land Rover in Malaysia has not yet disclosed pricing or available trims for the updated Defender in the local market, with these details to be announced later.
