Tests in ‘crescendo’ in terms of media coverage The technical and regulatory revolution has led to the tripling of the winter test days from 3 to 9, but at a television level we will remain ‘in line’ with what happened in recent winters (the FOM had never made any statements between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 on television coverage of the 2026 winter tests). From Monday 26th to Friday 30th January each team will have three days of testing available in Barcelona, the choice is at the discretion of the teams and McLaren, for example, has already communicated that it will certainly not be on track on Monday. In Barcelona there will be no television coverage and the tests are behind closed doors. The next two sessions are scheduled in Bahrain from 11 to 13 and 18 to 20 February and the first session will not be covered in full on television. According to what has emerged in the last few hours – information confirmed to FormulaPassion.it – from 11 to 13 February the television coverage will be one hour during the afternoon session. From 18 to 20 February, however, the tests will be produced and therefore covered on television in full. Overall, therefore, there will be 27 hours of testing with television coverage, 3 hours from 11 to 13 February and 24 from 18 to 20.
In the first test session in Bahrain, TV coverage will be one hour in the afternoon
