London, 8 January 2026 – OMODA&JAECOO UK can confirm it achieved 48,087 new car registrations in 2025*. Verified by today’s data from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)*, this milestone marks a turning point for the brand house, which firmly established itself as a household name last year, with a 2.38% market share*.
JAECOO, which launched in January 2025, accounted for 28,232 registrations*, led by the JAECOO 7, which alone achieved 26,048 units, making it the fourth most popular retail car in the UK – outperforming many long-established competitors. In fact, the brand’s retail sales accounted for over half of its sales – 55% – for 2025 as a whole.
OMODA, which launched in August 2024, saw 19,855 registrations* during the same period, with the OMODA 5 and E5 establishing themselves as favourites among UK drivers seeking innovation, style, and sustainable mobility. The retail network continued to bolster OMODA’s sales, which accounted for 38% private buyers in 2025.
This success underlines OMODA&JAECOO’s rapid ascent in a fiercely competitive market, highlighting the appeal of its diverse powertrain portfolio; including ICE and new energy vehicles (SHS and BEV). This includes the OMODA 5 and E5, flagship OMODA 9 SHS alongside sister brand JAECOO, which currently offers JAECOO 5 and E5, and JAECOO 7 ICE and JAECOO 7 SHS. The JAECOO 7 SHS, JAECOO’s self-charging plug-in hybrid, capable of fast charging and 56 EV miles, represented 70% of all JAECOO 7 sales in 2025.
A key driver of growth was not just the brand house’s new energy vehicle offering but also its customer-centric approach to modern car ownership, delivering what UK drivers actively value: personalised service, comprehensive warranty and aftersales support, and vehicles that combine striking design with advanced technology at competitive price points. The brand’s agility in product development has also been crucial, with MY25 updates to the OMODA 5 and all-electric E5 demonstrating a responsiveness and flexibility that distinguish OMODA & JAECOO from more traditional manufacturers.
Gary Lan, CEO of OMODA&JAECOO UK, said: “Our 2025 results reflect the strength of our strategy and the clarity of our brand house vision. The performance of the JAECOO 7 and OMODA 5 demonstrates the market’s response to our technology-led, design-focused approach. With the introduction of the OMODA 7 and JAECOO 8 in 2026, we will continue to deliver sustainable, innovative, and highly desirable vehicles with solid aftersales support that reinforce our growth trajectory in the UK.”
Looking ahead to 2026, the brand house plans to expand its UK lineup with the launch of the OMODA 7 and JAECOO 8, complementing its growing network of 101 UK dealerships. All vehicles have a 7-year/100,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first), with an 8-year/100,000-mile battery warranty (where applicable), OMODA&JAECOO UK continues to deliver confidence and long-term value for British customers.
