OMODA&JAECOO UK launches EV Tax Rebate
Offering the equivalent of 20,000 miles of the new pay-per-mile EV tax, due to take effect in 2028-2029

London, 26 November 2025 – OMODA&JAECOO UK has introduced its own EV Tax Rebate on the new all-electric OMODA E5 and JAECOO E5, offering drivers the equivalent of 20,000 miles at 3p per mile.
Launched in response to the UK Budget’s announcement to tax EV drivers 3p per mile for pure electric vehicles (EVs), which will become effective in 2028-2029, OMODA&JAECOO UK will offer a manufacturer-funded saving on qualifying vehicles purchased through its national retailer network using approved finance products.
Although this tax will not come into effect for another three years, this saving can be used immediately on vehicles purchased through OMODA&JAECOO’s national retailer network with an approved 48-month finance agreement**. This ensures that the value of the rebate remains relevant over the full four-year term, effectively pre-covering a portion of the future tax burden during the life of the agreement.
The new saving is designed to ensure customers can immediately benefit from lower running costs and reduced lifetime ownership expenditure at a time when electric vehicles are becoming increasingly central to the UK’s transport and decarbonisation strategy.

With the average EV said to travel 8,740 miles* each year, OMODA&JAECOO UK intends to cover between two- and three-years’ worth of this new pay-per-mile EV tax with today’s announcement of the OMODA&JAECOO EV Tax Rebate.
The new MY25 OMODA E5 features a new 61 kWh battery, enabling it to have a WLTP-estimated range of 267 miles. Charging capability has also been enhanced, with DC and AC charging rates now at 130 kW and 10.3 kW, respectively, while the integrated charging rates are now 80 kW and 9.9 kW. A heat pump is also now fitted to the E5 Noble further improving efficiency and ensuring an optimised driving range, even in challenging UK weather. With a new adjustable passenger seat, too, the MY25 OMODA E5 is more set up than ever for improved comfort and usability. Prices start at £339 per month with 0% APR finance available on this offer.
Meanwhile, the recently-launched JAECOO E5 Luxury has a 61.1 kWh LFP battery paired with a 207 PS motor, delivering 288 Nm of torque and up to 248 miles (WLTP) of range on a single charge. Acceleration from 0–62 mph takes just 7.7 seconds, and charging is hassle-free – from 30–80% in 27 minutes with a DC fast charging up to 110 kW, however or via a standard 11 kW AC home setup is also available.
