Milton Keynes – Volkswagen has announced a price reduction on its Passat, Tiguan, and Tayron plug-in eHybrid models, with savings of up to £950 for new-build orders placed from 4 February 2026. The move aims to make electrified driving more attainable for UK customers while highlighting Volkswagen’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

The price adjustments apply across a broad range of eHybrid variants, reflecting Volkswagen’s flexible approach to electrification. For example, the Passat Elegance 1.5 TSI eHybrid 272 PS now costs £49,440, reduced by £950, while the Tiguan Life 1.5 TSI eHybrid 204 PS is available from £42,870, a £810 reduction. Tayron eHybrids also benefit from reductions up to £835, depending on the model and specification.

Passat eHybrids: Efficiency Meets Practicality

The Passat eHybrid offers an electric-only range of up to 82 miles (WLTP combined) and fast charging at up to 40 kW DC, allowing the battery to be replenished from 5 to 80 per cent in just 26 minutes. The 1.5 TSI engine, combined with the electric motor, delivers 204 to 272 PS, propelling the car from 0 to 62 mph in as little as 7.1 seconds.

With a boot capacity of 510 litres—expanding to 1,920 litres with the rear seats folded—the Passat combines efficiency, comfort, and practicality. Its aerodynamic profile, with a Cd of just 0.25, ensures a quiet, fuel-efficient ride, while Volkswagen’s ninth-generation Passat continues a legacy spanning more than 50 years.

Tiguan eHybrids: Popularity and Performance

The Tiguan remains Volkswagen’s best-selling model worldwide and is one of the UK’s top 10 best sellers alongside the Golf. Tiguan eHybrids feature an electric-only range of up to 75 miles, with charging speeds matching the Passat at 40 kW DC. Power outputs of 204 to 272 PS allow 0-62 mph acceleration in just 7.2 seconds.

The model’s 490-litre boot (1,486 litres with folded seats) and standard DCC Pro adaptive running gear provide a balance of comfort, handling, and everyday usability. DCC Pro incorporates two-valve shock absorbers, a world-first in production vehicles, delivering dynamic performance reminiscent of motorsport technology.

Tayron eHybrids: Space, Style, and Versatility

Tayron eHybrids, offering a five-seat configuration, combine a 74-mile electric range with fast 40 kW DC charging. The 1.5 TSI eHybrid powertrain delivers 204 to 272 PS, taking the SUV from 0 to 62 mph in just 7.3 seconds. Its 705-litre boot (1,915 litres with seats folded) makes it the most spacious of Volkswagen’s eHybrid trio.

Blending style, comfort, and practicality, the Tayron bridges the gap between the Tiguan and the Touareg, offering buyers a versatile SUV with strong road presence. Non-eHybrid variants even allow up to seven seats, expanding its appeal to families and adventure seekers alike.
