Boss speaks Fred Vasseur spoke at the end of day 4 of the shakedown tests currently underway in Barcelona. For Ferrari today was the second day of work out of a maximum of three available; the first, however, with a track that is always dry and the possibility of working at full speed on the program established by the team. The indications were positive especially for the number of laps completed, 174: 85 in the morning with Lewis Hamilton and 89 in the afternoon with Charles Leclerc. “So far ours has been a productive shakedown – declared Vasseur – after a difficult first day due to the weather conditions, today we managed to run continuously and, above all, accumulate kilometres, which is the main objective. Reliability and learning are the priorities in this phase, especially in the presence of such a significant regulatory change. We have collected a lot of data and followed the planned programme. There is still a long way to go before the start of the season, but this is exactly the purpose of these days: to understand the car, analyze every area in detail and continue to improve step by step in view of Bahrain.”
