The new era of Red Bull begins in Michigan. The Detroit Central Station was the setting for the launch event of Ford’s sporting programmes, which culminated with the presentation of the Formula 1 liveries. The Milton Keynes team remains faithful to tradition, but presents some innovations that highlight the break with the past. The livery The blue of the Red Bull livery becomes darker, a subtle trick to highlight the Ford oval on the bonnet, but which at the same time gives the car a more aggressive look. Another new feature is the Red Bull graphics that are repeated on the bodywork, absent on previous single-seaters. All this underlines the opening of a new course in Milton Keynes, without the main architects of the successes of the ground effect era and with the great challenge of developing the Power Unit at home. Photo by Mark Thompson/Getty Images The collaboration with Ford was the central theme of the event. What initially began as a pure marketing campaign slowly transformed into a concrete commitment from the initial announcement. The Detroit company contributes to the production of some engine components, as well as to the development of new simulation models and battery management software. Max’s new number The 2026 Red Bulls will also take to the track with new numbers compared to the recent past. Hadjar will race with the 6, while Verstappen, ousted of the title of world champion, is forced to give up the 1, replaced by the 3. The Dutchman hopes to take back the scepter, but for the moment he avoids going unbalanced on his ambitions for 2026, postponing the first comments to the tests in Barcelona.
