We carried out a performance test drive of the new 2025 Opel GrandLand 1.2 Hybrid 136 Horsepower e-DCT6 Automatic model under all conditions in the Istanbul and Şile Rally stages.
Hello everyone from Automobile Magazine. The 2025 Model New Opel Grandland comes in both gasoline and hybrid versions, featuring a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine that delivers 136 horsepower and is equipped with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic DCT6 transmission. We tested the lightweight hybrid system version in Istanbul, pushing its limits and performance in all conditions, including off-road driving. The German automobile manufacturer Opel launched the new generation Grandland, its flagship SUV, in Turkey a few months ago, with gasoline and electric options available. The new Grandland’s hybrid version is available in Edition and GS trims, while the electric version is offered in GS trim level. The new IntelliLux LED Pixel system of the New Opel Grandland, made up of more than 50,000 individual cells, successfully reinforces Opel’s leadership in lighting technologies. Having a much more dynamic and responsive usage will further improve and enhance driving performance. The new Opel Grandland’s driving performance on both asphalt and slippery dirt surfaces was affected by the fact that the vehicle has a tire sidewall size that is particularly not very high and that the tires are more suitable for asphalt use, resulting in significantly longer braking distances on gravelly slippery dirt rally stages, and it was observed that the stopping distance increased considerably when the ABS was active. However, thanks to the vehicle’s stability traction control system and robust body structure, it successfully managed the risks of high speeds and the tendency for the vehicle to slide from the front or rear on the surface with proficient driving techniques. Overall, the vehicle’s acceleration up to 150 km/h was quite good, but after 150 km/h, it was observed that the acceleration slowed down and struggled with the 1.2-liter engine. The fact that the vehicle is made of high-quality materials in both interior and exterior design makes it more preferable in terms of price compared to its competitors due to its robust infrastructure and longer, wider structure for usability. Our successful off-road tests show that the new Opel Grandland is definitely more preferable in terms of price and performance compared to other competitors from China. The new Opel Grandland features a 10-inch digital instrument panel, a 16-inch multimedia screen, and includes Wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Navigation.
4 USB connection points, front armrest, dual-zone automatic climate control, vegan leather steering wheel, illuminated Pixel Box center console, wireless charging area, and support for phone or tablet when the vehicle is stationary. Glove compartment with cooling function and LED lighting, coat hangers for suits in the back, front door pockets sized for 1.5-liter bottles, storage pockets for rear passenger seats behind the front seats are among the features of the new Opel Grandland. Electric tailgate, remote-controlled tailgate opening, and hands-free access, Focal Premium Sound System, laminated and acoustic front side windows, opening panoramic sunroof with LED ambient lighting and electric shade, all these features distinguish it from its competitors. The new Opel Grandland features ergonomic, 10-way electrically adjustable AGR approved and heated front seats, Nappa leather upholstery, massage function for driver and passenger seats, and ventilation for driver and passenger seats. Other safety features in the new Opel Grandland include:

Front and rear parking sensors, a 180-degree rearview camera, and a heat pump. During our test drive of the new Opel Grandland, we achieved very successful results, especially in off-road and off-road capabilities, despite being a front-wheel-drive vehicle. We were able to navigate the terrain safely with the 2-wheel-drive model. The Grandland’s success in off-road and dirt rally stages was impressive. The vehicle’s chassis and body structure proved its robustness in our real-world test drives. German automaker Opel’s flagship SUV, the Grandland, takes on a much more striking character with its bold, simple, and exciting design, as well as its flexible, practical, and elegant accessory options. Grandland offers a wide range of Opel accessories to enhance the functionality and comfort of its vehicles, tailoring solutions to specific needs. Accessories such as the automatic trunk release kit with a foot sensor, side step rubber mat, cordless interior vacuum cleaner, and trunk storage enhance vehicle ease of use and removal. DVR cameras, Active Proplus, and wireless tire compressors make journeys safer and more comfortable.
DVR cameras provide monitoring and protection for safety.

A variety of nozzle options allow for effective cleaning of every surface and corner in the vehicle. The cordless design allows for easy use anywhere, and its practical and portable design adds confidence to your travels. Perhaps the most critical aspect of this entire test drive is the footage that underlies the reasons why the off-road success you’re currently watching makes the Opel Grandland so desirable and desirable. In our real-world test drives, we reveal the vehicle’s full potential, revealing its true capabilities, both positive and negative. Our team and I test its capabilities in a natural and realistic environment, working under challenging and risky conditions. The new Opel Grandland features three different driving modes: ECO, Normal, and Sport. I’m testing the new Opel Grandland off-road with different driving modes to gauge how easily I can navigate the terrain you’ve seen in the 2-wheel-drive version and how the vehicle responds. However, there are some things we need to do here, especially for off-road situations we haven’t mentioned before, and there may be adjustments that may be necessary. The new Opel Grandland includes the standard ADAS safety system functionality package. Within the Adas safety settings on the 16-inch navigation and multimedia screen, when the vehicle is stationary, we first disable all off-road safety measures, at least those that can be disabled. The traction control system, included among the Adas safety package and its functional settings, allows the vehicle to be disabled only in normal and sport modes. Even if we temporarily disable the traction control system, the vehicle can automatically reactivate the traction control system later on off-road, depending on road conditions and circumstances. The exact timing and whether this activation is activated depends on the circumstances. However, even with ADAS safety features engaged or traction control on or off, there’s no noticeable difference in the vehicle’s off-road performance. The vehicle performs its job effectively in both situations. While traction control doesn’t play a significant role in off-road driving, its on or off doesn’t really affect your driving ability. When comparing the price and performance of the new Opel Grandland, we found that the hybrid economy configuration consumed an average of 7.0 liters of fuel in our combined urban test drive. In Eco mode and economical driving, this consumption can be reduced to 6.5 liters in the city. In Sport mode and energetic driving, the new Opel Grandland consumed an average of 8.5 liters during our test.
