India’s refuelling network is almost entirely manned, and with its new charging stations co-developed with Voltran, TPEML is aiming to offer customers a seamless transition to EV charging with greater familiarity and the same convenience. To make the charging experience even more similar to refuelling at a fuel station, these sites accept payment through cash, card, and UPI—all post-charging. The new sites operate 24/7 and offer manned assistance around the clock, along with additional conveniences like free Wi-Fi, lounges, cafes, and restaurants.TPEML and Voltran have installed the new Tata.ev MegaChargers across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, two neighbouring states in the southern part of India. In Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana, the duo has inaugurated a Tata.ev MegaCharger with 12 charging bays and an installed capacity of 360 kW.Two new Tata.ev MegaChargers are on the highway connecting Hyderabad with Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, another state in the southern region. One charging station is in Beechupalli (Telangana) and one in Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh), and both feature six charging connectors. Another new Tata.ev MegaCharger is on a highway connecting Hyderabad with Vijayawada, a major city in Andhra Pradesh, located in Suryapet (Telangana). It has an installed capacity of 240 kW and offers 10 charging points, along with additional conveniences like AC lounges, eateries, and restrooms.Three new Tata.ev MegaChargers are located along multiple highways connecting Hyderabad and Tirupati, a popular pilgrimage site in Andhra Pradesh, one in Mydukur (Andhra Pradesh), one in Miryalaguda (Telangana), and one in Tirupati itself. Another trio of new Tata.ev MegaChargers are located along a highway in Andhra Pradesh, one each in Kaza, Ongole, and Nellore. The highway connects Vijayawada with Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu, further down south.The remaining four new Tata.ev MegaChargers are along the Srikakulam–Vishakhapatnam–Vijayawada Highway, one each in Srikakulam, Gannavaram, Rajanagaram, and Anakapalle, all located in Andhra Pradesh. Following the latest expansion, the Tata.ev MegaCharger network covers more than 70 sites across India. By 2027, TPEML aims to bring 500 Tata.ev MegaChargers into operation nationwide.
