SPIE CityNetworks, a French subsidiary of SPIE and part of the European multi-technical services group, has been awarded the contract to install and operate a new network of electric vehicle charging stations in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques region. The 658 charging points will provide outputs ranging from 22 kW to 300 kW.Installations will begin in January 2026, with the first phase scheduled for completion by 2028. The network will be operated under a 15-year concession agreement. SPIE CityNetworks will oversee the entire process, including network design, installation, commissioning, integration of existing stations, and long-term maintenance through its regional agencies in Dax and Serres-Castet.Drivers will be able to access the Oscéa 64 network via a dedicated mobile application to locate charging stations, check availability, and manage payments. Charging sessions will be payable by bank card, mobile app, or cards from the main operators, with no subscription required.The initiative follows a tender launched in 2024 to expand regional charging infrastructure in response to growing demand from residents and tourists.
