The annual Santa Sleigh initiative, organised by the Moseley and Kings Heath Lions, is a long-standing and much-loved community tradition. Each year, volunteers guide Santa through neighbourhoods across the city as families gather to see the sleigh pass by and donate to local causes. With the Lions providing the sleigh and KGM Birmingham supplying the dependable Musso Saracen to tow it, Santa will be able to visit more families than ever across the 2025 schedule.
This year’s programme includes appearances at a wide variety of community locations. The tour began with the Longbridge “Christmas Lights Switch On” on Saturday 15 November and continues with visits to areas including All Saints Square, the Moseley area, Kings Norton, Longbridge Retail Park, Moseley Rugby Club, Sainsbury’s Maypole and several additional neighbourhoods throughout November and December. The Lions will accompany Santa at each stop while collecting donations that support grassroots initiatives and local charities across Birmingham.
