Increases driven by arrival of new Škoda Elroq and updated Enyaq range
Milton Keynes, 13 January 2026 – Škoda’s remarkable growth in the UK continued in 2025 with the Czech brand once again outperforming the new car market to set new records across both retail and True Fleet channels. The brand also recorded a record full-year market share, successfully increasing on the previous best figures set in 2024.
In total, Škoda UK recorded 83,304 registrations in 2025, an all-time high for the brand (previous record was 81,418 units in 2017). The 2025 result is a 5.9% increase over 2024 where 78,601 cars were registered.
Key to Škoda UK’s success in 2025 was a record in True Fleet registrations, 27,672, up 14.7% when compared to 2024. Retail registrations also surged in 2025, with a 7.1% increase over the previous year.
Škoda also increased its market share in 2025, recording another all-time record in a market increasingly fragmented with new arrivals. Overall, Škoda commanded a market share of 4.1% for the year, bettering the brand’s previous record (2024) of 4.0%. Škoda UK’s retail market share hit a new record high of 3.2% for the year, while total True Fleet registrations were also up, hitting 4.8% market share.
One of the driving forces behind the increases in registrations and market share have been Škoda’s two all-electric models. Despite only joining the line-up in the second quarter of the year, the Elroq compact SUV enjoyed exceptionally strong demand with consumers while the new Enyaq range also proved popular with buyers. Both models gained flagship vRS performance models in July, further boosting their appeal, and became eligible for the Government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG) thanks to Škoda’s efficient and sustainably conscious production process.
