Max Verstappen in Qualifying for the Australian GP he ended up in the barriers in Turn-1 after a technical problem which led to the unexpected locking of the rear axle of his Red Bull RB22.
The four-time world champion on impact he also violently hit the chassis of his car with his hands, but fortunately he suffered no consequences.
“I’ve already had an x-ray, nothing is broken”Verstappen told the microphones of Sky Sports at the end of Qualifying which still recorded an excellent third time for Isack Hadjar.
The result of his boxing partner is not enough to make Verstappen smile: “The gap between Mercedes and everyone else is truly enormous. What happened to the car? We don’t know, I just know that suddenly the rear completely locked up. For now I’m not having fun at all.”.
