TCR pilot Koray Kamiloğlu achieved a historical success in the Coppa Italia Turismo, the last leg of which was held at the Misano track in Italy on 25-26 October. Kamiloğlu and his team came first in both the race classification and the team classification and performed our national anthem on the podium.
Drawing attention with the successes he achieved this season, TCR racing pilot Koray Kamiloğlu won first place two days in a row in the Misano race, which is the last leg of the Italian Cup (Coppa Italia Turismo).
Kamiloğlu, who completed the qualifying rounds in first place on both days, became the name that achieved victory by not letting his rivals pass in the races where he started in the first place.
Together with Kamiloğlu, H2K Motorsport also came first in the team classification. Kamiloğlu and his team achieved the ‘Grand Slam’ in the cup with this victory.
The young athlete came second in the third leg races of the AVIS 2025 Türkiye Track Championship held at TOSFED Istanbul Park in recent months and broke the record for the fastest lap time.
The successes of Koray Kamiloğlu, who attracted even more attention with these victories in the last leg of the season, will be a matter of curiosity in the next season.
Who is Koray Kamiloğlu?
Koray Kamiloğlu, an International Racing Pilot, was born in Istanbul in 2002. He took his first step towards becoming a racing pilot, which he dreamed of from a young age, when he was 19 years old. He left the 2022 Karting Fest Turkey series, which was the first race he participated in, with 5 second places, 1 first place and the season second place in the General Classification. The young athlete left every race he participated in with 100% podium success. Koray Kamiloğlu is studying for a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management at The Open University in England and continues his career as an international racing driver with the license of the Turkish Automobile Sports Federation (TOSFED).
