Three hundred homologations in three years show the premium OEM market has settled on P Zero as the default choice Pirelli presented its refreshed P Zero tire family at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, with more than 300 homologations secured for the range since its 2023 launch. Hill Climb-tackling vehicles span the entire range, from the P Zero Elect in the Rolls-Royce Specter to the P Zero Trofeo RS in Koenigsegg Sadair’s Spear megacar. Pirelli has developed a special P Zero E tire for the Ferrari Luce with a record diameter of 24 inches, low rolling resistance targets and containing more than 55% bio-based and recycled materials. The product represents Pirelli’s sustainability-focused performance segment, combining material composition targets with OEM-driven hardware specifications. Pagani Utopia Roadster is the first vehicle to use Cyber Tire, Pirelli’s sensor-integrated technology that enables direct real-time data exchange between the tire and the vehicle’s electronic control systems. This approach allows onboard systems to respond to tire condition data rather than simply inferring conditions from chassis sensors. P Zero Trofeo RS semi-slick tires are fitted to Bentley Supersports, Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Manthey Kit and BMW M2 with M Performance Track Kit. Developed for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, P Zero Elect equips the Rolls-Royce Specter and Jaguar Type 01, both with diameters up to 23 inches. Pirelli draws on more than 350 motorsport events a year, including Formula 1, to develop virtual tire modeling processes that are then applied to the production of road tires in the P Zero range.
