Piastri launches the challenge to Norris For three quarters of the 2025 championship, Oscar Piastri gave the impression of being able to prevail in the direct comparison with Lando Norris. At the end of the World Championship, however, the Australian lost his edge, favoring the comeback not only of his teammate but also of Max Verstappen, and even finishing in third place in the standings. In the championship that will start from his home town of Melbourne, the #81 wants to make up for it, taking advantage of the extra experience gained last year. Piastri, on the occasion of the presentation of the McLaren livery, therefore launched the challenge to the world champion. Piastri’s words “The new livery of our MCL40 is fantastic and it’s wonderful to have retained the 2025 championship-winning design. It’s always fun to race a papaya-coloured car. Thanks to everyone who works at the factory, to our fans and our partners for their support”, these are the words of the Australian. “We have a big challenge ahead of us with the new rules, but I’m starting this year with great positivity, I’m ready to face this new era of Formula 1 with my head held high. We’ve learned a lot from last year, so I feel stronger than ever and I can’t wait to see what we can achieve this year – let’s get to it.”
