
Automotive Industry Association (OSD) announced the data for the first 2 months of 2026. Total production decreased by 2 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 215 thousand 284 units. Automobile production, which decreased by 15 percent compared to the first 2 months of last year, amounted to 120 thousand 823 units.

Total production, including tractor production, reached 218 thousand 703 units. In the commercial vehicle group, production increased by 20 percent in the first 2 months of the year, in the heavy commercial vehicle group by 35 percent, and in the light commercial vehicle group by 19 percent. Compared to the first 2 months of 2025, the commercial vehicle market grew by 17 percent, the heavy commercial vehicle market by 6 percent, and the light commercial vehicle market by 19 percent. In the first 2 months of the year, total automotive exports decreased by 9 percent in terms of units and automobile exports decreased by 23 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, total exports were 144 thousand 357 units and automobile exports were 72 thousand 150 units. In the 2-month period of 2026, the total market increased by 3 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 168 thousand 595 units. During this period, the automobile market also decreased by 1 percent, closing at 130 thousand 831 units.
