A new ‘marriage’ Following the official presentation of the Cadillac, which took place during the Super Bowl show, the US team announced the birth of an important technical partnership for its first season in Formula 1: the team will in fact be able to count on the supply of customized front and rear shock absorbers by the Swedish company Öhlins, part of the Brembo Group since last year. An agreement that increasingly includes Brembo’s presence in the world of Formula 1, which already supplies all eleven participating teams with cutting-edge braking systems. The collaboration between Öhlins and Cadillac therefore continues in the most natural way, dating back to the first prototypes of the single-seater produced in 2024: “We have collaborated with Öhlins since the initial design stages of the first Cadillac Formula 1 Team car – commented Nick Chester, technical director of Cadillac – the performance and quality of the Öhlins shock absorbers are excellent and we can’t wait to race and grow together”. Everything is ready for the pre-season tests scheduled in Sakhir, with Claes Hesling (Auto Racing Director, Öhlins Group) who did not hide his pride in the collaboration with Cadillac: “It is an honor to have been chosen to supply the shock absorbers for the first car of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team. This collaboration represented an important opportunity for our two companies, both with a solid tradition in Motorsport, to join forces and give further impetus to innovation in the world of competition and high performance automotive. This moment is the result of years of work and we can’t wait to see Team Cadillac Formula 1 line up on the grid next month.”
