
A change of flag took place in the top management of Shell & Turcas. Oğuz Uçanlar, Shell & Turcas CEO as of January 1, 2026‘He started his career as a water officer.
Uçanlar started his career at Booz-Allen-Hamilton in the United States. In this role, he provided consultancy to senior managers of multinational companies ranging from retail to automotive, from technology to financial services, on mergers, operational efficiency, financial discipline and new market entry strategies. Uçanlar subsequently managed his own businesses in the retail and construction sectors in this country.
Following his return to Türkiye, Uçanlar, who held senior positions in well-established organizations such as Bain & Company and Anadolu Group, put the brand through a comprehensive restructuring process during his time as CEO of McDonald’s Turkey.
Uçanlar, who most recently served as CEO of Adel & Faber Castell, pioneered an organizational transformation that ensured efficiency, included international brands in its customer portfolio, and enabled the company to reach a record financial performance in its 56-year history in Türkiye.
Emre Turanlı, who has been serving as the CEO of Shell & Turcas since 2020 and is the company’s first Turkish CEO, started his new position as Senior Vice President of Shell Mobility, Global Marketing and Licensed Markets as of January 1, 2026.

In his new role, Turanlı took on the management of the global marketing strategies of Shell, the world’s largest mobility retailer with 47 thousand stations and 33 million daily customers in more than 70 countries, within the scope of global mobility operations. He will also be responsible for 60 licensed markets, including prominent countries in the fuel market such as Australia, Brazil, Italy, Spain, Greece and Argentina. In addition to his new position, Emre Turanlı will also serve as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shell Brands International AG.
