Fuso’s MEA training drive reflects a calculated bet on dealer capacity as the region’s commercial fleets begin the ZEV transition Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) has opened a regional training center in Dubai for its Middle East and Africa (MEA) dealer and distributor network. Fuso Academy Dubai began operations on 1 July 2026, following MFTBC’s transition to an independent entity within the Archion Group. The 362 square meter facility includes two classrooms equipped for electric vehicle training, a sales and social skills training room, and an electronics laboratory for diagnostics and electrical systems work. It offers a mix of classroom and hands-on practical training. The center covers zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) readiness, as well as diagnostic and service skills, servicing technicians, service advisors, sales staff and management. As MEA fleets move towards electrification, the ability to service and repair ZEVs becomes a practical necessity for network operators. Following the formation of the academy, the separation of MFTBC from Daimler Truck AG and the formation of the Archion Group on 1 April 2026, MFTBC adopted an independent regional model. Creating specialized training capacity at this point reflects the truck manufacturer’s intention to develop its own operational foundations as an independent entity. Training standards are set by Fuso Academy, MFTBC’s global training center, with programs tailored to the specific conditions of the MEA market. The approach provides local operators with a consistent technical foundation while preparing them for newer vehicle technologies, including ZEVs.
