Kia America announces record May sales

Fast-growing Kia America, with 80,502 units sold in May, continues to reach new highs, led by sales through Kia retailers, which increased 11 percent from May 2025 and broke the previous retail record set in August 2025. In addition, Kia set a new year-to-date overall sales record with a total of 360,220 units sold in the first five months of the year, up 2 percent over the first five months of the year. 2025.

Kia’s three most popular models include the Telluride (+18 percent); Carnival (+16 percent); and Sportage (+6 percent); The second-generation Telluride also broke its best-ever May sales records, breaking its best monthly sales record ever and achieving five consecutive months of record-breaking sales. Kia’s hybrid models saw significant growth with the Sportage Hybrid (+171 percent); Sorento Hybrid (+101 percent); and Carnival Hybrid (+32 percent); each had its best May sales record ever, and the Carnival Hybrid also had its best monthly sales record ever.

Overall, Kia’s hybrid models (+179 percent) and electric models (+133 percent) delivered the highest monthly sales totals in the company’s history and its best May-to-date sales totals.
