The new F1 season has truly begun Now we can truly say it: albeit with the launch of a few meager 3D renderings on the web, the presentation of the Haas VF-26 takes us into the new 2026 Formula 1 season. The American team, which this year celebrates the not only commercial partnership with Toyota – which is the new title sponsor of the team with the acronym TGR, namely Toyota Gazoo Racing, the racing division of the brand – is in fact the first to present its single-seater for the new season, after in recent days we had only tasted the Red Bull and Racing Bulls liveries in the mega-event in Detroit. Pay attention to the 3D rendering. However, pay attention to the details because, even if it is true that Haas explicitly talks about the new shapes of the 2026 car and not only about the presentation of the livery – as done instead by Red Bull, Racing Bull and, even before New Year’s Eve, by Audi – also in 2022 the lines of the team’s first car for the new ground effect regulations were launched with an online presentation, but they turned out to be very different from those of the real VF-22 which debuted in track in Barcelona a few days later. And therefore: even if the shapes of the new Haas actually seem different from those of the basic “models” shown so far by the other teams, we must still take the renderings shown on the web with the benefit of the doubt. Here is the Haas VF-26 by Bearman and Ocon. That said, the design of the side panels stands out quite clearly, which seem to show a sort of “tub” like that of the 2022 Ferrari F1-75, and which however have a rather accentuated downwash design. The sinuous shape of the nose is also interesting, as is the choice of push-rod suspensions both at the front and at the rear. For the rest, there are no major changes to the livery, with the color scheme remaining the usual one with white, black and red inserts, despite the rather decisive advance of the basic white, which now also covers the area of the bonnet in abundance. An all-red airscope also stands out, just as the main profile of the rear wing is red, unlike the front one which becomes black and white. The rims, however, are completely black and feature only a partial fairing. To see it in action we will have to wait just a few days, with the official debut of the Haas – as well as all ten other F1 single-seaters – scheduled for Barcelona in the shakedown tests behind closed doors from 26 to 30 January with the official drivers Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman.
