General Motors’ SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) joint venture in China has just launched the 2026 Wuling MINI EV four-door with a new long-range variant in the Asian country.
The automaker officially launched the 2026 Wuling MINI EV four-door with a new long-range version in the Chinese domestic market, expanding the driving range of the second-generation model in Wuling’s successful line of all-electric minicars in China. The new extended-range version of the MINI EV four-door also debuts the nameplate’s new model year following the vehicle’s initial launch earlier this year.
The new long-range version of the 2026 Wuling MINI EV four-door is launching in China under the Premium+ trim level and is positioned as the new lineup-topping variant of the redesigned zero-emissions mini car. With this addition, the vehicle now offers four variants, distributed across the Advance, Premium, and Premium+ trims, with the new long-range version joining as the second option in the most upscale trim level.
The main new feature of the 2026 Wuling MINI EV four-door Premium+ long range is a new 25.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, giving it a CLTC electric range of 301 km or 187 miles on a single charge. This driving range represents a considerable improvement over the 205 km or 127 miles of the standard battery pack that initially launched, which will be retained in the entry-level variants.
Technically, the 2026 Wuling MINI EV four-door long range retains the single-motor setup with the same 30 kW or 40-horsepower output found in other variants available in the Chinese market. In addition to offering greater all-electric range, the new battery pack in the MINI EV four-door supports three charging speed levels, including best-in-class DC fast charging.
The new 2026 Wuling MINI EV four-door Premium+ long range will be available for purchase in the coming days through Wuling’s official dealer network in China, where the model is exclusively manufactured and sold. Customers can acquire the new MINI EV four-door long range with a range of ownership benefits and incentives for those wishing to trade in their old model, starting at a price of 52,800 yuan, or approximately $7,450 USD at the current exchange rate.
