The presentation of a new Red Ferrari’s big day has finally arrived. In fact, at 11.30 in the morning on Friday 23 January, the presentation event of the SF-26 began, the first single-seater from the Scuderia di Maranello compliant with the new technical regulations which revolutionize the chassis, power units, petrol and tyres, imposing a clear break on the GP paddock with the recent past of ground effect single-seaters. The 2026 car is number 72 in the history of the Cavallino in Formula 1, the second of Lewis Hamilton’s career in red, the eighth of the Monegasque Charles Leclerc. Furthermore, it is also the first car of the new course signed by Loic Serra: the French ex-Mercedes engineer became technical director after the farewell of Enrico Cardile and therefore took office in the autumn of 2024 when the SF-25 had already been largely approved by the previous DT. The photogallery of the new Ferrari SF-26 Below are the first 3D images published by Scuderia Ferrari during the presentation of the new SF-26. The livery, as widely expected after the presentation of the suits of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, sees an even more abundant use of white, which appears on the bonnet area and around the cockpit in a stylistic choice that closely resembles that of the 2016 season. The shade of red also seems different, with a color apparently more lively and bright compared to the disappointing 2025 car. Beyond the color, note the choice of push-rod suspension at the front and rear, similarly to what has already been seen with the Haas VF-26 already presented at the beginning of the week. For the rest, at least judging from the first virtual images, a particularly tapered and pointed nose also stands out, with a very different front wing attachment from those already seen in the other single-seaters. Not just 3D rendering: the Ferrari SF-26 on the track at Fiorano But the launch of the Cavallino single-seater is not just virtual. In addition to the 3D renderings, similarly to what Mercedes showed yesterday, the day of the Prancing Horse’s debut with the new 2026 rules is embellished with the most traditional of track baptisms: the Ferrari SF-26 is in fact engaged in a 15 kilometer shakedown, specifically permitted by the rules governing the F1 World Championship, on its home track in Fiorano. The bridge overlooking the circuit has been full of fans since dawn to greet the birth of a new Rossa with joy and hope.
