Performance engines dominate the list of the most expensive parts purchased in 2025 on eBay
Of the top 10 parts, seven engines featured from a range of models including Ferrari, Porsche and Audis
Outside of the top 10 priciest parts, a Snap-On tool station sold for more than a Bentley engine
London, 22 January 2026 – eBay, the number one online marketplace for vehicle parts and accessories in the UK, has revealed the most expensive parts and accessories sold in 2025, including high-end performance engines, vintage bodywork and premium brake sets.
This year, the priciest part or accessory sold on eBay in the UK was an aluminium Jaguar E-Type bonnet, which was purchased for £18,564. The instantly recognisable E-Type bonnet surpassed the most expensive part sold on eBay in the UK in 2024 – an Audi R8 5.2-litre V10 engine that sold for £16,567.
Second place in 2025 was more bodywork, a complete Ford Transit Custom front-end (£17,180), followed by a complete BMW M5 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine (£17,048).
High-end engines made up seven of the top 10. A 5.7-litre V12 engine from a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti featured in fourth place (£14,851), with a remanufactured Toyota Landcruiser Amazon 4.5-litre diesel engine (£13,112), a Porsche 911 Targa 4S 3.0-litre engine (£12,995), a 4.4-litre Range Rover Vogue engine (£12,487), and two 4.0-litre engines for Audi RS6s (£12,483 and £12,407) completing an eclectic ensemble of engines.
While the engines powered their way through the top 10 most expensive parts, other interesting items also made the list, including a full set of ceramic disc brakes and calipers for an Audi RSQ8, selling for £13,592.
Other notable expensive items sitting outside of the top 10 were additional performance engines from high-end manufacturers – such as Mercedes-Benz AMG GT (£12,376) and Bentley (£11,757) – and other high-value listings for huge Snap-On tool stations (£12,376).

While premium powertrains remained in high-demand, vintage bodywork for a Jaguar E-Type – a motoring icon – claimed the top spot.
“The top 10 products continue to show that eBay is a one-stop-shop for all UK motorists, from DIY essentials like windscreen wipers and floor mats, to complete powertrains and bodywork for some of the most iconic cars on the road.”
