BYD Turkey ranked first in the rechargeable hybrid and new energy vehicles market by selling 45 thousand 537 units in 2025.
According to the statement made by the company, BYD Turkey, which was selected as the ‘Fastest Growing Automobile Brand of the Year’ in 2025 by the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), increased its market share with its electric and rechargeable hybrid models.
According to ODMD data, BYD Turkey was the leader of the rechargeable hybrid market last year with sales of 25 thousand 858 units and a market share of 54 percent, while it also ranked first in this field with sales of 45 thousand 537 units of new energy vehicles (NEV) and a market share of 19.1 percent. The brand ranked third in the fully electric vehicle market with sales of 19 thousand 679 units.
The company expanded its product range and increased the number of models to 9, reaching 43 dealers in 33 cities across Türkiye at the end of the year. Digital experiences such as the mobile application and OTA (Over the Air) technology that BYD Türkiye launched as of February also contributed to customer satisfaction.
On a model basis, SEAL U DM-i, which was selected as the ‘Car of the Year’ in Türkiye, became the most preferred rechargeable hybrid model with 25 thousand 858 sales. While the SEAL U model reached a total of 30 thousand 380 sales with its rechargeable hybrid and full electric versions, DOLPHIN achieved leadership in the electric hatchback segment with 4 thousand 158 sales.
– ‘We appeal to a wide customer base’
BYD Türkiye General Manager İsmail Ergun, whose views were included in the statement, stated that 2025 is an important year for BYD Türkiye in many respects.
Stating that they have left behind a year of rapid growth and introduced more than 45 thousand vehicles to customers, Ergun stated that they appeal to a wide customer base in all segments with their product range consisting of 9 models.
Ergun stated that their brands offer high-tech electric and rechargeable hybrid models with premium features at affordable prices and said:
‘This situation gained the intense interest and appreciation of our customers. Thus, we became the fastest growing automobile brand of 2025. In addition, it is extremely valuable for us to complete 2025 as the leading brand in both the rechargeable hybrid and new energy vehicle markets. In the coming period, we will continue our growth in the automobile market by taking a leading role in Türkiye’s electric mobility transformation.’
