Off the track without consequences for the Dutchman Ferrari debuted as scheduled in the Barcelona tests on this second day available to the teams. At the wheel of the SF26 is Charles Leclerc who, as reported by soymotor.com, after an initial installation lap, then completed a stint of 11 laps, setting a best time of 1’20″8. Together with the Monegasque on the track there is also Max Verstappen who made his debut at the wheel of the Red Bull RB22 which performed well yesterday in the hands of his teammate Isack Hadjar. The four-time world champion was involved in a slight run off the track in the gravel at Turn-5 which forced a brief red flag, but the Dutch driver managed to get back on track. Verstappen immediately returned to the pits, but then returned to the track shortly afterwards so no particular damage was reported to the RB22 after the excursion into the escape route. Rain is expected in the afternoon and for this reason Mercedes will not take to the track today. In addition to the Brackley team, Alpine, Haas and Racing Bulls will certainly remain in the pits.
