Piaggio Group has made a senior management change in its Spanish operations. The company announced that it appointed Filippo Rivanera as Spain country manager and general manager.
Within the scope of the new position, all operations of the Vespa, Piaggio, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi brands in Spain will be affiliated with Rivanera.
Spain broke a record in the two-wheeler market with sales of over 265 thousand units in 2025, becoming the second largest market in Europe. Piaggio Group continues to consistently be among the top five manufacturers in this market.
In his new role, Rivanera will be responsible for managing the company’s commercial strategy in Spain, strengthening the dealer network and developing the operational structure.
Born in Genova, Filippo Rivanera completed his Electronics Engineering education at the University of Genova. He gained more than 30 years of international experience in the automotive industry throughout his career, which he started within Fiat Group in 1995.
In recent years, he has held important positions such as sales director of Opel Spain, CEO of Invicta Group and COO of Mobilize Beyond Automotive Iberia within Renault since 2023.
In the Piaggio Group statement, it was emphasized that Rivanera’s experience in mobility solutions, energy transformation and new generation services will make a significant contribution to the company’s growth strategy in Spain.
