Bosch Tech Compass kept its finger on the pulse of technology
The world is ready for the age of artificial intelligence (AI). This represents the consensus opinion of more than 11,000 people from different countries who participated in the Bosch Tech Compass 2026 survey. In the research, which has been conducted regularly for the last five years and included Türkiye for the first time this year, participants have never viewed artificial intelligence so positively: The majority of participants believe that artificial intelligence will be the most effective technology of the next decade and will have the most positive impact on society among all technologies. While more than half of the participants worldwide state that they are ready for the changes brought by artificial intelligence, in Türkiye this rate is 73 percent, above the global average (56 percent). However, there are also signs of a certain “progress fatigue”: The majority of respondents, both in Türkiye and around the world, think that technological progress should be slowed down until its consequences are better understood. These two findings in the research reveal that participants in Türkiye display a “cautious optimism”.

Bosch’s global public opinion survey Bosch Tech Compass 2026 was conducted with more than 11 thousand people in 8 countries, including Türkiye, from different continents. The research, which aims to understand how people experience technology, what they expect from innovation, and where they see opportunities and risks, takes the pulse of public opinion in leading industrial countries. Stating that Türkiye participated in this research because it is an important production and innovation base for Bosch, as well as its role as a bridge between different regions, Bosch Turkey and Middle East President Daniel Korioth said: “Turkey is also a market where young, dynamic and new technologies are rapidly adopted and discussions about the future are closely followed. Türkiye’s inclusion in the research not only enlarges the sample, but also includes a perspective that is critical for both our region and our company.” Stating that he wants the results of the research to pave the way for new and constructive discussions, Korioth underlined that they will gladly share the results with Bosch’s ecosystem consisting of different stakeholders.
Reminding that the research has been organized by the Bosch Group for the last five years, Bosch Turkey and Middle East Corporate Communications and Public Relations Director Burcu Coşkun evaluated the findings as follows: “We are seeing a rapidly increasing number of innovative artificial intelligence solutions around the world that we could not even imagine just a few years ago. Therefore, it is not surprising that the number of people who see artificial intelligence as the most effective technology of our future has increased from 41 percent to 70 percent worldwide in just three years.” Emphasizing that Bosch’s motto, as one of the world’s leading technology and service providers, is “Technology for Life”, Coşkun emphasized a finding that differs from other countries participating in the research: “In Türkiye, the society trusts private companies as the “driving force of innovation”. While this gives us an advantage, it also reminds us of our responsibility.”
Technologies that make life easier
Research; It revealed that people’s primary expectation from technology is to provide safe solutions that make their daily lives easier. Respondents believe innovation is most needed in the next five years in the areas of personal health technologies (45 percent), sustainable living solutions (40 percent) and privacy/security (33 percent). This expectation for solutions that make life easier also manifests itself strongly in the mobility solutions of the future. For example, 28 percent of participants in Türkiye think that “autonomous driving” will be one of the most effective technologies; This rate is well above the global average. Additionally, 12 percent of participants see “air taxis” among the mobility solutions of the future. This rate is only 6 percent globally.
Interest in science fiction ideas is high
In Türkiye, 3 out of every 4 people (78 percent) state that they enjoy dealing with technology and understanding how it works. This interest in technology goes beyond today’s practical applications and even includes futuristic scenarios reminiscent of science fiction movies. Turkey exhibits curiosity and openness far above the global average on issues such as living on another planet and brain-internet connection. “Would you volunteer to be among the first people to live on another planet?” More than half of the participants in Türkiye (52 percent) answer the question positively. “Would you allow your brain to connect directly to the internet?” 42 percent of the participants have a positive approach to the question.
