Tofaş continues to increase Türkiye’s export power with its production capacity. The K0 coded vehicle, produced at the Tofaş Factory in Bursa and in the medium light commercial vehicle segment, will begin to be exported to North America under the name Ram ProMaster City in the second half of 2027. Tofaş CEO Cengiz Eroldu, who considers starting exports to the North American market again as an important development, said, “As Tofaş, we are very pleased to be exporting to this market again, both for our country and for our company. We will export 230 thousand units of the K0 project, for which we plan to produce approximately 1 million units by 2032, to North America as of 2027. By increasing our market diversity, we will take our strong position in the global market to a higher level.”
Tofaş, a well-established organization of the Turkish automotive industry and celebrating its 58th anniversary this year, continues to add new export markets to the domestic automotive industry. Tofaş will continue its US exports, which it previously carried out with Doblo, with the medium-sized light commercial vehicle product group coded K0. In this context, the new K0 model family, which will be produced at the Tofaş Factory until 2032, will begin to be exported to the USA in 2027 under the name Ram ProMaster City.
230 thousand of them are North American passengers
Stating that they are preparing to restart North American exports with Ram ProMaster City Tofaş CEO Cengiz Erold“This export is an important step for the Turkish automotive industry to strengthen its presence in the North American market. Reminding that they will start production of the K9 model family again in Tofaş in the third quarter of this year, Cengiz Eroldu said, “A total investment of 386 million Euros was made in the K0 product family, which we started production. We will export 230 thousand units of the K0 project, of which we plan to produce approximately 1 million units by 2032, to North America as of 2027.”

1.6 liter turbo engine with 166 HP power
The new medium-sized light commercial van, which will be offered to the North American market under the name Ram ProMaster City and produced by Tofaş, will hit the roads with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine. Producing 166 HP of power and 221 lb-ft of torque, the engine transfers its power to the front axle through an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Safety technologies include collision warning with automatic emergency braking support, driver attention warning and side curtain airbags. Thanks to its 4.7 cubic meter carrying volume and wide loading floor for loads up to 2.82 meters long, two standard US pallets can be placed in the vehicle one after the other.
