Plug & Charge technology eliminates the traditional friction points of public charging. Cars communicate directly with compatible chargers, while payment is automatically processed—removing multiple steps and making charging as simple as plugging in. This feature is now included as a complimentary benefit for Polestar Charge users and is available at nearly 1,000 stations across the UK, including major networks such as Ionity and Allego.
Polestar has also taken a bold step in integrating Tesla Superchargers directly into its app. Drivers can now access over 20,000 Superchargers at more than 1,500 European locations without needing to switch apps. Real-time availability is also visible through Polestar’s in-car navigation powered by Google Maps, ensuring efficient route planning and a stress-free journey.

The service also integrates EV optimization tools and Polestar’s payment method within Google Maps, helping drivers plan efficient charging stops along their routes.
Beyond convenience, the Polestar Charge subscription offers discounted fast charging at more than 80,000 points across 42 operators. The service is gaining traction rapidly, with over 45,000 users in 2025—a 30% increase from 2024.
