Ford and Ford Pro have partnered with Ohme, its new EV home charging partner in Ireland.
As part of the Ford Power Promise, Ford dealers across the Republic of Ireland will provide complementary Ohme chargers to qualifying customers.
Results from a recent Ford survey of 5,000 drivers across Europe found that 25% of customers feel more uncertainty and complexity when buying an electric car and one out of every eight people find it too difficult to arrange charging at home, so the Ford Power Promise gives drivers peace of mind when switching to new electric vehicle technology, making it easy to charge at home, and save time and money1.
Building on Ohme’s existing partnership with Ford in the UK via Octopus Energy, Ohme will provide a full solution including the charger and installation as well as dealer training and support. Based in Cork, Ohme is the UK and Ireland’s largest home EV charging company and the fastest growing EV charging company in Europe.
John Manning, Market Lead, Ford of Ireland comments: “Switching into an electric vehicle for the first time can be a daunting prospect for some drivers, so Ford has decided to simplify and de-stress the entire ownership experience by launching a one-of-a-kind promise to new electric vehicle buyers. This commitment from Ford, and partnership with Ohme, aims to strengthen our Power Promise and entice new buyers into the exciting world of electric vehicles and stimulate additional demand for our freshest-ever lineup of electric passenger cars. Ohme’s technology enables EV drivers to charge at the lowest-cost and greenest times of the day, helping them to reduce overall running costs. Ford sales of electric passenger cars across Ireland are up 500% on last year and this partnership drives a strong proposition for electric passenger and commercial vehicles in 2026.”
To charge at home during the Energia EV Smart Drive off-peak rate (2am–6am) a customer can add almost 30kW of battery power for €2.79 (9.42c/kWh using a 7.4kW charger). To fully charge a new Puma Gen-E car during EV Smart Drive off-peak hours will cost just €5, compared to spending €58 to €70 on petrol.
In addition to free home-charger and standard installation2, the Ford Power Promise entitles customers to:

Eight-year, 160,000 km high voltage component and battery warranty for peace of mind
Free-of-charge five-year service plan to reassure you on low maintenance costs
Free-of-charge five-year towing assistance that won’t leave you stranded on the side of the road
Access to more than 750 charging locations with 2,127 Irish public charging points via Ford’s BlueOval Charge Network
FordPass app eliminates stress and storage of multiple apps for public charging payments
Dedicated customer care

David Watson, CEO of Ohme said: “With Ford’s long-standing strong relationship to Ireland and especially to County Cork, this is a collaboration that’s close to home both personally and professionally. With the new Puma Gen-E as well as the Capri, Mustang Mach E and Explorer, plus its electrified commercial vehicle range, Ford has one of the strongest EV line-ups on the market which can now be charged with the best EV home charger on the market.”
Ohme’s dynamic EV chargers use live data from the grid and are compatible with best and most affordable energy tariffs across the island of Ireland. Ohme chargers automatically adjust to optimise the cost of charging and accessing all the times of the smartest, greenest and lowest cost energy tariffs as well as featuring a solar boost function reducing reliance on the grid.
This new partnership with Ford will enable its drivers to take advantage of Ohme’s existing relationships with energy providers across the island of Ireland, where Ohme is the official home EV charging partner for the Energia Group, SSE Airtricity, Power NI and Click NI amongst others.
Ford’s offer is applicable across all of Ford’s electric passenger vehicle line up in Ireland including the New All-Electric Explorer³, New All-Electric Capri⁴, New All-Electric Puma Gen-E⁵, Mustang Mach-E⁶, all-electric E-Tourneo Custom⁷, E-Transit8, Transit Custom PHEV (excl. Kombi), Transit Connect PHEV and Ranger PHEV.
Electrify your business with a complementary Ohme home EV charger, free five-year servicing, eight-year battery warranty and 12 months vehicle management software and dedicated customer support.
Offer Validity:• Passenger Vehicles: available to retail and selected fleet orders until 30 April 2026• Commercial Vehicles: available until 31 March 2026
