The first Mercedes-powered Alpine runs at Silverstone – VIDEO

After Audi in Barcelona, ​​Cadillac in Silverstone and Racing Bulls in Imola, Alpine also hit the track for the first time with the new 2026 single-seater, the first powered by Mercedes. The Enstone team carried out the 15 km shakedown in the English rain with Pierre Gasly and without camouflage livery, using the blue and pink colors (the latter from the sponsor BWT) which will characterize the car also in the season that is about to begin. Obviously there was no shortage of sightings by enthusiasts, with several videos circulating online and on social media in a very short time. Alpine has tried to deny the veracity of the images on social media, but the car that took to the track at Silverstone should be the very first version of the A526 which will be involved in testing in Barcelona from 26 to 30 January. To have at least the livery become official, we will have to wait until January 23rd, the date on which Ferrari will also unveil the first “draft” of the SF-26.
