Rain of dollars Tomorrow, Thursday 22 January, Mercedes will unveil its W17 which it will once again entrust to George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli for the 2026 Formula 1 season. There is great anticipation around the Silver Arrows, indicated by many as possible favorites with the regulatory revolution.
And on the Mercedes livery – as suggested by the British Sky News – a new and prestigious sponsor could find space: Microsoft. A high-level agreement The American IT giant Microsoft, one of the world’s largest technology companies, has decided to bet on Mercedes.
The partnership will be revealed tomorrow and – according to an expert contacted by Sky News – could have the value of at least 60 million dollars per season, becoming one of the richest collaborations on the entire starting grid. In the past, Microsoft has long been a technological partner and sponsor of the Renault F1 team and was associated with Alpine until last season.
Finally, it should be underlined that in 2025 Microsoft announced an alliance with CrowdStrike on the topic of cyber threats, the same CrowdStrike of which George Kurtz, who joined the Mercedes F1 share capital last year, is the CEO.
