Burglary at Bianchi’s house, Jules’ last kart stolen. Father’s appeal via social media: “It has sentimental value”

Heartless thieves Sad and disgusting news yesterday hit the entire world of motorsport and in particular the family of Jules Bianchi: the father of the French driver – who died on 17 July 2015 following a 9-month coma after the terrible accident at the 2014 Japanese GP – has in fact reported via his Facebook page the theft of some karts from his team, named after his son, and also of the last kart used by Jules himself. His father’s social appeal On the popular social network Philippe Bianchi appealed to the entire world of karting and motorsport in the hope of finding the stolen goods, underlining the sentimental value even more than the economic value of those karts. “Dear friends, this evening I am addressing my karting family – wrote Bianchi in French on Facebook – this night we suffered a theft and unscrupulous thieves took away 9 JB17 Forever chassis. But the most serious thing is that they stole Jules’ last kart, a KZ 125 ART GP model, as well as my nephews’ mini karts. Apart from the value of the cars, it is the sentimental value that hurts us.
