Hyundai Motor Group once again reinforced its global leadership in automotive safety by winning a total of 21 TOP SAFETY PICK (TSP) and TOP SAFETY PICK+ (TSP+) awards in the 2025 American IIHS Insurance Institute for Highway Safety evaluations. This result made Hyundai Motor Group the most awarded group among all automotive groups for the second year in a row.
18 of the 21 award-winning models achieved the 2025 TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation, the IIHS’s highest rating. This number marked a significant increase compared to the 12 TSP+ awards won in 2024, demonstrating that the group successfully complies with security criteria that become more stringent every year.
Hyundai’s new flagship IONIQ 9, which is among the models that received the 2025 TOP SAFETY PICK+, demonstrated superior performance by receiving the highest degrees in all IIHS crash resistance and crash prevention tests.
