Açılış töreninin ardından başrollerini Michael Keaton, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci ve Sveva Alviti’nin paylaştığı yeni Tim Burton filmi “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” gala gösterimi yapıldı. Venedik aynı zamanda, İtalyan aktris Miriam Leone’nin Lexus’un resmi elçisi olarak katıldığı ilk festival etkinliği oldu.
