Naumkin, Tarantas.News The long-wheelbase Yangwang U8L was exhibited: the wheelbase increased by 200 mm to 3,250 mm, and although the rear overhang was longer, the overall length increased by only 81 mm to 5,400 mm. This is due to the elimination of the rear spare wheel holder. Instead of a sloping tailgate, the U8L has a folding tailgate with lift-up glass. While the width remains at 2049 mm, the height decreases by 9 mm to 1921 mm. Other visual changes on the L version include less prominent wheel arches painted in body color (black on the base model) and special 23-inch wheels with static centres. The gold body color is exclusive to the long-wheelbase version, and buyers can opt for 24-carat gold exterior trim; This was implemented in the car exhibited in Shanghai.© B. Naumkin, Tarantas.News The Yangwang U8L’s plug-in hybrid system remains standard. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine (272 HP) works only as a generator, and the four-motor e4 all-wheel drive system produces 1,197 HP and 1,280 Nm. The curb weight of the long-wheelbase SUV increases to 3,595 kg (135 kg more than the base model) and the gross weight exceeds four tonnes at 4,210 kg (225 kg more). The track width increases by 5 mm at the front axle and 12 mm at the rear.© B. Naumkin, Tarantas.News The Yangwang U7 sedan was also introduced in Beijing. It is 5,265 mm long, 1,998 mm wide, 1,517 mm high and has a wheelbase of 3,160 mm. The coefficient of friction is only 0.195. Curb weight is 3095 kg. The U7 uses a four-motor electrical system that produces a total power of 1,306 hp and 1,680 Nm of torque. Its battery capacity is 135.5 kWh and it has a range of approximately 800 km in the CLTC cycle. Standard equipment includes electrohydraulic active suspension, three lidars, five radars, 13 cameras and a smart chip for autonomous driving. Inside, there is a 12.8-inch curved central display, a digital instrument cluster and separate screens for passengers.© B. Naumkin, Tarantas.News The Beijing auto show also saw the debut of the limited-edition Yangwang U9 Xtreme electric hypercar, which attracted the attention of enthusiasts and experts around the world. Only 30 units will be produced. It has a special body color and registration numbers.
