Polestar has opened orders for the updated 2027 model year Polestar 2 liftback in Australia, with first deliveries scheduled for mid-2026.The base Long Range Single Motor version features a single electric motor producing 220 kW (295 hp) and rear-wheel drive. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 205 km/h. With a WLTP range of up to 659 km, this model stands out as one of the longest-range electric vehicles in the urban EV segment.All-wheel-drive Long Range Dual Motor versions deliver 310 kW (416 hp) and 350 kW (469 hp) with the optional Performance pack. Acceleration times are 4.5 and 4.2 seconds to 100 km/h, respectively, while ranges extend to 596 km and 568 km. Every variant comes with an 82 kWh battery supporting fast charging up to 205 kW, allowing a 10–80% charge in about 28 minutes. Towing capacity is rated at up to 1,500 kg.Standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11.2-inch central screen, dual-zone climate control, and safety systems. Premium audio and wireless charging are available as options.Pricing for the Polestar 2 starts at 66,400 Australian dollars (47,390 US dollars).
