The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class comes with a deep intention: to redefine what a luxury sedan can be. The transformation is both technical and emotional – a tool designed to be experienced as an oasis of tranquility, craftsmanship and technological elegance. The Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) makes its debut in a Maybach, creating a digital journey that is intuitive, elegant and intelligent. The new S-Class will be available to order from the first European markets starting March 25, 2026, with other markets to follow.

First A new commitment to detail visible at a glance: For the first time, the Maybach wordmark was subtly illuminated within the grille surround. Double star headlights are accented with touches of rose gold. All silver-plated forged wheels now feature what feels like a small mechanical miracle: a perfectly aligned Mercedes-Benz star. Mounted on an advanced ball bearing mechanism, this device always appears to remain upright, even as it moves around the world.

A cockpit that makes you feel like you’re entering a magnificent lounge: The redesigned interior blends high craftsmanship with the elegant modernity of the MBUX Superdisplay and is adorned with an ambient style unique to Maybach. New open-pore woods, including beautifully grained oak, are paired with soft light, deep materials and smooth digital surfaces. The result is an enveloping calm – Maybach’s signature cocoon effect, reinterpreted.
The burn range has been extensively redesigned and prepared for future emissions regulations. Tops the charts in Europe and some other markets The Mercedes-Maybach S 680 features the latest evolution of the eight-cylinder (M 177 Evo) engine; It delivers 450 kW + 17 kW and 850 Nm + 205 Nm, thus ensuring higher power and sharper response – now on par with the existing 12-cylinder unit. Technical upgrades and mild-hybrid technology (ISG 2.0) ensure agile, linear power delivery and efficient energy recovery, while two Lanchester balance shafts provide outstanding refinement. In certain markets, the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 continues to be offered with the famous V12 (M 279) at 450 kW.
In the Mercedes-Maybach S 580, the now more powerful V8 develops 395 kW + 17 kW and 750 Nm + 205 Nm.
In the Mercedes-Maybach S 580 e with EQ Hybrid Technology, the revised six-cylinder gasoline engine (M 256 Evo) responds faster and offers a safer and more peaceful driving experience.
