Groupe Renault has announced an ambitious plan for the next decade: 36 new models by 2030. The program was presented in Paris by CEO François Provost, who illustrated how the company strategy will evolve from Renaulution to “futuReady”. In particular, 22 new models will arrive in Europe, of which 16 are totally electric, while another 14 will be launched in the rest of the world. Renault relaunch plan Among the most significant technical innovations, Provost anticipated that the new RGEV medium 2.0 modular electric platform with 800 Volt architecture, capable of very rapid recharging (about 10 minutes), will arrive in 2030 and will be destined for segments from B+ to D. At the same time, the the group will maintain hybrid engines in its range to guarantee commercial flexibility in the various markets. For the Renault brand, the goal is ambitious: to sell 2 million cars a year by 2030, with 50% of sales outside Europe. Electrified ambitions in Europe In detail, the Losanga house plans to introduce 12 new models on the European market within the next five years, with all cars sold on the continent being electrified. In other geographical areas the target is for 50% of sales to be electrified. The transition towards electric is therefore accelerated, but the group confirms a pragmatic approach that combines electric vehicles, hybrids and alternative solutions where necessary to respond to heterogeneous market needs. From Dacia to Alpine The other brands of the group also receive specific pushes: Dacia increases the electric range to four models and aims to achieve two thirds of sales with electrified cars by the end of the decade, without however abandoning the E-Tech hybrid offer. And if market conditions allow it, the LPG proposal will also have a future. Alpine confirms its sporting vocation with the new A110, built on the Alpine Performance Platform, and continues its strategy of exclusive models and limited series versions such as the Alpine A110 R Ultime.
